Breathing life into a 7500 Power Macintosh

I bought a 7500 in 1996 for its upgrade capabilities. Up until now it had been running OS9.1 and I had upgraded the CPU to a Sonnet Crescendo PCI G3 400mhz, increased the RAM to 256MB and upgraded the hard drive to 4GB. Yesterday I managed to get OSX 10.2 installed on a seperate partition to the OS9.1 installation using Ryan Rempel's superb XPostFacto 4 open source software.

In addition to the installation guidelines I did the following:
  • Changed the internal SCSI bus id from 0 to 1
  • Removed all PCI cards
After the base installation of OSX 10.2 my Belkin Wireless USB Network Adaptor (F5D6050) was not recognised. Upgrading to 10.2.4 fixed this issue. I am currently running 10.2.6 and everything seems to be ok.
